Water Distribution, Usage and Storage in Magarpatta City

The Training Committee conducted a training session on “Water distribution, storage and usage” on Saturday, 29th January 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Magarpatta City Water Plant. Mrs. Seema Bhosale conducted the session and it covered water flow and distribution in all Magarpatta City neighborhoods, the treatment cycle, use of chemicals, water tower, water capacity, etc. Thereafter, queries were asked around the municipal and ground water, rain water harvesting, overhead storage, solar water heating, sewage and drainage, gardening water, etc. The instant feedback was that the session was an informative approach and was much appreciated. There were in total 33 adults and 30 children who attended the session from 27 families and were composed of the residential neighborhoods of Trillium, Sylvania, Roystonea, Cosmos, Jasminium, Heliconia and Laburnum.

Children learnt a lot from this ecologically friendly way of water storage and how to minimize wastage of this very precious elixir of life.
