An excursion to Bhigwan (Backwaters of Ujjani Dam), will be conducted by the Magarpatta City Environment Club on 22nd Jan 2017. Flamingos and other winter visitors like different types of ducks, storks, gulls etc. are likely to be spotted along with Resident birds like Cormorants, Coots, Ducks, Egrets, Stilts, Kingfishers and other birds of the wetland habitat. To spot the Flamingos and other winter visitors at close quarters we have to hire boats with a capacity of 8 -10 persons costing approx Rs 100/- per head, if bulk booking is done in advance.
Bhigwan is approx 100 Km from Pune and the travelling time by bus (with one short break) is 3 hrs. In order to get adequate time for good ‘Birding’ we shall depart from Magarpatta City main gate at 6.30 AM sharp. We will return to Magarpatta City by 8PM.

Registration will be confirmed only on receipt of a ‘Non Refundable Advance’ of Rs 450 (in cash) by the organisor at Row House A-1’Erica’. This amount will be adjusted against the cost of bus ticket, toll charges and other sundry expenses. Receipt of advance will be confirmed by SMS.
Registration will open at 10 AM on 09 Jan 17 and close at 6 PM on 20 Jan 17.
Since we shall be taking a short breakfast break at a suitable roadside dhaba en route and a similar break for a delayed lunch, participants are advised to carry some snacks, adequate drinking water and refreshments.
